Pulp revascularization of immature incisor with extrusive luxation injury: case reports
Han Ji-Hye

Mah Yon-Joo
Abstract
Luxation injury usually happens when root development is incomplete. Open apices and wide pulps make endodontic treatment difficult. Thus, apexification has been used to treat immature teeth that have lost pulp vitality. This treatment promotes the formation of an apical barrier to close the open apex so that the filling materials can be confined to the root canal. Recently, revascularization, which has the advantage of inducing growth of the root, was widely used to treat immature teeth. This report aims to present two cases of extrusive luxation injured immature incisors treated with revascularization. Revascularization can relieve clinical symptoms and heal periapical lesions without weakening the root. It would be wise to consider revascularization as a primary treatment option for non-vital pulp on immature incisor with luxation injury.
